If you see an item of furniture/large item(s) you would like to order, prior to ordering please check the measurements of the said item(s) with the measurements of your doorways, measurements and angles of stairwells, etc. to ensure that the item can be delivered and will fit through your door(s)/up your stairs, etc. If the ordered item(s) is then delivered to you, but you are unable to get it into your property we cannot be responsible for this issue. In the unfortunate circumstance that this should occur, please contact us on: 01531 631791 to discuss the next steps, but please note that a re-stocking fee may be charged and you will be responsible for returning the item(s) to us, including cost.
We offer Nationwide delivery, which will be either by via Royal Mail, Courier or Specialist Furniture Courier depending upon order size and product type. All items will require a signature upon delivery. If you have any specific delivery requirements, ie. “leave with a neighbour”, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your request as far as possible. If we are unable to do so, we will advise you accordingly.
We will aim to despatch all ordered items (except large items of furniture which will require a booking slot with the specialist carrier) within 7 days. Should this not be possible for any reason, you will be notified accordingly. Large items of furniture will be despatched and aim to be delivered to you within 21 days.
The driver booked to deliver your large items (specialist furniture carrier service) will collect and deliver to a ground floor room of your choice. If you live in an apartment/flat or there are steps up to or down to your property, please let us know so that we can advise the carrier; this particularly relates to delivery of large items.
There is usually only one person on the delivery vehicle, so if you are unable to help lift heavy or awkward items, please consider making some additional arrangements with a third party who may be able to assist on the day of delivery, about which you will be advised. There is the possibility we may be able to arrange for a two-person team, however there will be an additional charge for this service. Items damaged in transit (to their destination address) must be documented (ie. photographed) upon delivery and emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours. All the original packaging must be kept and returned with the item(s) in order that a potential compensation claim can be pursued where necessary.
Overseas orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are charged upon arrival to destination address. These charges are to be paid by the purchaser.
Unfortunately, we do not offer International Delivery on large items, ie. furniture. Persons purchasing from outside the UK, including ROI and Northern Ireland, should arrange their own courier/collection. We will, of course, package the item(s) ready for collection.
Delivery charges are noted below but will also be displayed with your order. Should you choose to collect the item directly from Josh Thomas Design House or arrange for your own courier, there is an option to exclude the delivery charge, but you will need to make arrangements to collect the items with ourselves via: email@example.com
If there are any issues arising from the delivery of the item(s) you have ordered (other than the item being damaged in transit about which we must be notified within 48 hours), you should notify us in writing within 10 days.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with the item(s) you have ordered from us and wish to return them, please notify us, in writing, within 7 days of receiving the item(s) (unless they are damaged, in which case you should notify us, in writing, within 48 hours) whereupon we will be happy to arrange for a full refund, provided the item is returned unused (if applicable)/undamaged and in it’s original packaging within 14 days of receipt. Please ensure that any fragile items are securely packaged. We recommend that you return the item(s) (depending on size) via signed for or special delivery or obtain a proof of posting, as we cannot take ßresponsibility for item(s) lost in transit.
If you wish to return a large item of furniture, please contact us whereupon we will be able to advise as to how best to do this.
The cost(s) of returning the item(s) to us will be borne by you, the purchaser and these costs shall not be refunded.
We will issue a refund as soon as the item is received and if we are satisfied that the item has been unused(where applicable), undamaged and in a saleable condition.
Refunds can take up to five days to show in your account. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for interest charges made by your credit card company (if you have paid by credit card) whilst waiting for your refund.
If you would prefer a credit note instead of a refund, please let us know and we can arrange this for you.
