Black Highback ‘Siesta Chair’ by Ingmar Relling

This is an original 1970′s Highback version of the famous ‘Siesta Chair’ designed by Ingmar Relling in 1965 for the Norwegian furniture design competition.  The design won first prize and has been in production ever since by Westnofa Møbelfabrikk of Norway, manufacturers label still in place.

This classic icon of design is in great vintage condition with  grey/black  leather and an ebony finish bentwood frame; a timeless and classic combination.

This chair is found in many design museums around the world and is sure to be an antique of the future.
